Since the last macOS update to 12.1. I can't index my folder on the Synology NAS (DS220+) via SMB. The indexing process does not run to the end (3mio files) but always breaks somewhere in the middle. I have to switch to NFS instead, with which it works perfectly.
The cause is probably a bad SMB implementation in macOS, which causes connections to drop over and over again. This is very troublesome because Apple does not develop AFP further, and NFS has certain disadvantages compared to SMB. Is this problem known, or what can I do about it?
