Hi All,
I'm about to upgrade from an old intel macbook to some of Apple's new hardware: a M2 Air or M2Pro Macbook or Mini. I'm wondering if anyone has done some actual FT benchmarks on the speed in which different hardware configurations index and/or open files. For me, I care less about indexing speed than about opening PDFs and highlighting proximity searches as fast as possible. Given the very similar single-core benchmarks for M2 and M2Pro chips, I wonder if anyone has actually compared real-world performance using FT, either with different Memory or harddrive configuration. (I'm assuming single-core benchmarks are most relevant here, but I may be wrong).

Curiously yours,
Zvi
