Hello,

On my macbook, when I click on the FoxTrot icon in the dock, nothing happens (i.e. no window comes up even if one or more windows have already been created). I have to right-click and select a particular window. This is not how other Mac apps work (the last-used window, or in any case some window, comes up).

I can't find anything in the settings. Yet perhaps this is somehow peculiar to my setup?
Or is this the intended behavior? (to me, this feels like an annoying bug)

I'm on Sonoma 14.4 now but it was like that as far back as I can recall.

Please comment/share your experience.
Thanks.

Hello,

We are a bit puzzled by your report, as we could not reproduce this here at all even on Sonoma.

Kind regards,

Video is more than many words.

https://we.tl/t-PdlN2n9wYH

Problem - video 01 - not possible to use arrows

Problem - video 02 - if I use „Clear recent folders“ and add new, there is still one old folder what I didnt add after clearing.

ear sir or madam,

I have FT few years and everything worked OK.

But now I have new macbook (OS Sonoma 14.5) and upgraded FT to version 8.

If press twice key for showing FT search field in menu bar, it is not possible to move on list of recent folders.

Could you fix it please?

UPDATE: It works if I press arrow + shift. But on the older mac and FT ver 7 worked only with arrow.

Thanks

Pavel

Hi,

Could you please elaborate - What happens when you click on the app icon in the dock, when all the windows are minimized?

I want to clarify that

(1) When FTSearch is not running, clicking on its icon in the dock starts the app and brings its window up, as expected.
(2) when FTSearch's window(s) are maximized but obscured by other apps' windows, clicking on the FTS icon in the dock does bring FTS window(s) to the front, as expected.

But with all windows minimized, nothing obvious happens on my box (nor can I recall it ever work properly on any of my prior MacBooks and OS versions going back years; I remember it was always an annoyance).

Thanks.
