Hi,
Desoled, my english is very bad.
I'm test a Foxtrot 5.0 b4 and here is my first opinion:
- It's a good version, stable.
- I would like indexing a file to .eml, I'm used Mailmate (Désoled I
dropped PowerMail), a client mail IMAP and Foxtrot does not index a file
.eml... It's possible ?
Cordialement

You need a third party spotlight importer that handles .eml files. The only one I know is included in EagleFiler. I think its spotlight importer will work even if you only install the demo version.

and you have a lot of files to search, check it out."

Yes, I know and I use EagleFiler. However this is not very convenient to
have to import mails in EagleFiler regulary ...

Hello Olivier
I use Mailmate, EagleFiler and Foxtrot Pro. I don't import Mailmate
messages into EagleFiler but I do index them in Foxtrot Pro. Doing so
depends on having EaglerFiler *installed*, but not importing any
messages.
Simply create an index in FT and add to the indexed locations:
~/Library/Application Support/Mailmate/Messages
if you want, add:
~/Library/Application Support/Mailmate/Attachments
I suppose these paths might be localised to French on a French
installation, but I'm sure you can figure it out.
Let the list know if that does not work.
David.

You don't need to import them in EagleFiler; FoxTrot should automatically use EagleFiler's spotlight importer when you index a folder containing .eml files. Make sure that EagleFiler is shown and checked in the list of importers: launch FoxTrot while pressing the command and option keys, then click "Manage third-party metadata importers".
