I currently have Apple 26 Tahoe Beta 4 installed. Since the first version, Fox Trot has stopped working properly (crashes) when trying to view search references in the corresponding PDFs. I sent the error to the developers, but I haven't seen a solution yet. The same thing happens with both version 7 and version 8 of FoxTrot.

If I disable “Continuous” in View Menu, PDF Display, the program seems to work correctly.

An absolute thank you to Edgardo for finding out a solution to the problem. As he mentioned disable "continuous" and it works. Well done, Edgardo. Thank you.

This problem is still present in the latest beta of macOS 26, but we will have a workaround in FoxTrot 8.5.1 to stop reporting this situation to the user. In the meantime, in addition to disabling continuous mode, you can just click "Continue" in this exception window. Thanks for the reports.

If you click “continue” on the crash-window, the program crashes again. At the moment, the only adequate solution is to disable “continuous.”

This issue should will be fixed in version 8.5.1.
Beta version 8.5.1b1 was released today and is currently only available via the "FoxTrot > Check for Updates" menu, after enabling beta versions in the settings.
