As a researcher in the history of texts, I've been using Fox Trot Pro for more than 20 years. My colleagues envy it until they realize that they have to classify digitized documents carefully into folders and subfolders !
The work I've been able to produce over all these years is recognized as reliable by the number of instances cited in the notes.
There's no doubt about it: Fox Trot Pro is the one and only software that makes it possible to follow an idiosyncrasy through writings over 2 or 3 centuries, thus exposing the progress of an idea. It's also the best at finding variant expressions.
I would like to thank you and invite you to add ‘academic use [analysis and history of texts]’ to the recognized capabilities of this marvelous tool.
Dr. Jean Devriendt - University of Lorraine.
