Congratulations for this robust app. I have evaluated a copy and there is
no doubt it is the best app for the job.
However, for my work I experience an interface limitation. I usually revise
results in lists of nearly a hundred academic files. It is too time
consuming to open a separate window for each of them in order to see the
lines where the results appear. And this kind of concordancer is the deal
breaker for my use of the app. Wouldn't it be possible to have the option
to show such concordancer in the main preview window?
Two buttons on top would make it easy to change from the preview of the pdf
to the listing of text results. And the optional separate window could open
the pdf page corresponding to the tet when needed.
I hope you find this feature request could improve the workflow of other
users as well and consider to include it. Thank you.

The list of occurrences in the selected document is available in the preview in the main window, but in a pop-up menu, above the preview. You can even uncheck some of the searched words to only show the others. Can this work in your workflow?

We can consider adding all the features of the separate document window to the main window, but I fear that the user interface would become too complex, especially on small screens. Another option would be to have two different preview modes: the current one, in the right part of the main window, and another one in a separate document window, with all the features of this window (PDF thumbnails and table of contents etc) and of the current preview (date and size, Finder tags, file path), but dynamically displaying the currently selected file in the main the window. What do you think of this?

Thanks for your feedback

I think your last solution is a better solution to the issue I pointed out
than the one I proposed. FoxTrot windows are functional and well thought
out. I don't see the need to change them either. It will be enough if the
secondary window (for searching inside a document) was dinamically linked
to the main window. That is to say that when documents are selected in the
listing of the main window, the secondary search window, if opened, will
dinamically be that of the selected document. Instead of having to open and
close the secondary window for each document listed in the main window, as
I believe it is now. I attach an image and hope I have understood well.
