I sent a few emails in the past month about academic price with no response
at all. It was a disappointing experience. I hope Foxtrot still willing to
doing business with student and faculty.

I cannot speak for current policy, but in 2015 there was a (quite nice)
academic discount offered. I recall I had to inquire from support and they
provided a coupon.
That reminds me, I think I have a not-quite-support message to remind them
about!

Same here. I think this software is the best you can get in this field.
However, I never got an answer on any of my emails...
