Hello,
Thank you for your questions. Please review our living Privacy and Security policy, which addresses most these questions:
https://download.foxtrot-search.com/web/foxtrot-privacy-poli cy.pdf
to your points:
Can you clarify whether FoxTrot transmits any data to third parties:
We can indeed clarify that we do not ever send your indexed data to third parties.
Whether the company implements encryption or secure storage measures for indexed data? built-in security mechanisms (such as encrypted indexes):
Yes, this is an option to have an encrypted index (which will encrypt possible embedded documents as well) at index creation time. If you enable it later on, it will trigger an index rebuild
Are there built-in security mechanisms such as secure connections)?
Yes there are whenever using the client-server features (FoxTrot Search Server).
Does the company conduct regular security audits or penetration tests to ensure the software remains secure?
We regularly update those security libraries not linked dynamically from macOS, monitor their release notes, and extensively test all changes.
Thank you and kind regards,
jean michel/ctm qa
