I received a new MacBook Pro from Apple and I transferred my data and
applications from my old computer using Apple Migration Assistant.
Everything except FoxTrot appeared to transfer correctly including all my
settings and passwords.
I really don't know how the Hosts file became corrupted and I only found it
using the article referenced above.
I also found an error in the Library/Webserver/Documents folder that
contained two index.html files, one of which also appeared to be corrupted.
I corrected the html files manually.
Now typing 127.0.0.1 into any browser correctly pulls up the default web
page and Foxtrot works.
Peter.
