CTM Development is pleased to announce version 5.0.2b2 of its FoxTrot Search products.

Further improvements in this version are:

- Accelerated indexing due to a new implementation of language detection
- In Wide screen mode, some dates could be truncated
- Considerable efforts have gone towards working around a the fact that Activity Monitor would report our processes in red as being hung when they were working perfectly. No amount of tech support explanation that this was a cosmetic-only issue convinced people, so in the end it is now no longer the case.
- We have now added each indices' name to the associated crawler and indexer process names in Activity Monitor, so as to potentially identify an offending process hanging
- changed, as a result of the above, the internal workings of the Servers "daemon" mode. If you run FoxTrot Server and have it set up a daemon process loading before user login, please test this version and report back to us
- Fixed reporting scripts so that they now work again on 10.7 and 10.10
- if the i386MDIHelper (now known as "FoxTrot Crawler 32-bit helper") was quit for one reason or other, it was not relaunched.
- Addressed a cosmetic crawler report when quitting
- "rebuild index" no longer ignores files whose context is not indexable

As usual, kindly report back to us via direct email or the contact form on our website.

Best regards,
