Hi there!
I am using an evaluation copy of FT Personal 5.5.3
on El Capitan 10.11.2
The predefined location checkboxes (Prefs.) show checkboxes for Mail,
Contacts and Calendar. (see screenshot)
After I added the recommended custom folders I can now find mails, contacts
and calendar events.
But what are the Mail, Contacts and Calendar checkboxes for? I have no clue
on their function.
Any help welcome!
Thanks, Peter

Sir,
Thank you for your questions. Allow me to recommend that you send them to support first rather than to the entire list.
To answer the point below:

These select the default locations for storing Mail, Contact and Calendar. Since you have added these again yourself, FoxTrot will see the data already indexed and ignore it, but you might as well delete these custom folders,

My apologies, Jean Michel, for posting here... I thought I found the right
place....
Actually when I only checked the 3 boxes, it seemed none of the items get
indexed. Then I found this help page:
http://help.foxtrot.ch/foxtrot-personal-search/index.html
and added the custom folders accordingly. Does it mean the 3 checkboxes
have no effect anymore?
Thank you for your quick feedback! Best regards,
Paul
