	| I am also trying to solve my problem using a Service created in Automator. The Service takes the selection and returns the list of file names. I cannot get the Service to appear using FoxTrot. It works at the Finder level. I can see other services that take files/folders as input (A Better Finder Rename or Compress with BetterZip). Why is FoxTrox "locked out" to accept Services that accept files/folders as input? |

	| Hello,
FoxTrot is not specifically “locked out”, I would instead say that we probably have not specifically implemented support for Services on a selection from the list. But this is a good suggestion, and certainly the first time it has been made as far as I remember, so we have to make a note of it.

 Kind regards,

	| Thanks. I'd much appreciate this. Indeed, I must go so far as to ask that you provide Applescript support to get selected items as a list with
properties {rank, name, excerpt, location, ...}.

I am very interested to interface FoxTrot with other apps in order to
collect snapshots of information rapidly. Right now, I am limited to a
(painfully) slow, one-shot review of my database, with only static images
of the content using screen captures as collection points. It feels as
though I am doing my work using Windows XP. :-/
