Foxtrot's search power is second to none (at least currently). But we
have to keep up with the quick pace of the innovation treadmill if we
want foxtrot to remain competitive and relevant. Here are some
thoughts for improvement:

1. Enables bookmarks that can cross search each other. For example,
if I highlight bookmark A and B, foxtrot would filter only results
only results that are in both bookmarks. This enables people to
quickly create new searches from the existing ones they have. The
highlighting mechanism I described may be cumbersome, so we can design
some other ways to cross search bookmarks as well ... but this
function will multiply the current search productivity of foxtrot.

2. Maybe I am wrong but currently foxtrot CANNOT search tags.
And ... I know there are some doubters of tagging out there, but it
will be the future of file management ... and just as most people want
to filter search results by location today ... increasingly they will
want to filter results by tags as well. So ... please enable tag
searching if it doesn't exist already.

Other thoughts, folks?

		Dat,

Many thanks for this useful commentary and that regarding the interface.

Once we ship version 2.5, we will make a prioritization list for the
feature list of FoxTrot Professional 3 and we will especially be seeking
for input from people in this group.

Kind regards,
