We are testing Foxtrot search on a Mac server with a number of Mac clients.
The server is an M1 Mac running Ventura with approximately 10TiB of data on it.
The clients are running Mojave usually.
We have the search index updating hourly.

Does anyone have any experience with any of the questions or issues below?
Is there a way we can make it update faster than 1 hour? Can we control this through a script or task scheduler?
Is the index unavailable to users to search when an update is in progress?
Is there a way to control how much CPU the indexing processes uses on the server when it is updating?

Thank you in advance.

We would not recommend performing a full update of a large index more often than once an hour. You can however automate partial updates from an AppleScript (using the command: update folder)

The index remains available, but search speed is quite slower; users may have to wait a few seconds and sometimes more before the search starts.

Not directly, but you can take a look at our FAQ
