We have an index of our files on a Network share.
A large amount are going to be moved to a separate archive location.
When performing a search, will Foxtrot Search still provide results for
files that are no longer on the share. If so, for how long after they were
deleted?
Iff not, is there a way to keep a snapshot of an index ? Or make an
archive/export of an index at a specific time?
Thank you for all the help (Answers in French are fine with me as I'm
French too )

The index is only updated when you update it manually, or via a schedule. So you can keep your index intact as long as you want. If you are using FoxTrot Pro, you can have multiple indices (possibly for the same indexed files), some of them you keep up to date, and some you don't if you like it so.

Thank you for that reply.
Is there a way to export or keep a copy of that manual index in case
someone tempers with it or we need to migrate Foxtrot Server to a different
system?

You can backup an index by copying it in the Finder. It is stored by default in {home}/Library/FoxTrot (or FoxTrot Server). To access this hidden Library folder, use the "Go" menu in the Finder while pressing the shift key (or command-shift-L shortcut).
It is preferable to stop the index in FoxTrot before backing it up.
